This documentary, Past of Future, brings together interviews with women from different professional backgrounds in Iran, reflecting on work, family, tradition and social responsibility. Through their personal accounts, the film explores how women navigate expectations at home and in wider society, while also considering the forms of support, negotiation and resilience that shape their lives and careers.

This film features prominent figures such as Pouran Derakhshandeh and Zahra Rahnavard.

This was filmed over 10 days in Tehran, Damavand and Karaj. The making of this film was made possible through the support of Iranian Youth Cinema Society.
